On July 3, Apex held its annual summer event, the Tokyo Bay Yakatabune Cruise Party. A beloved Apex summer tradition since 2014, the event brings colleagues together for an evening of food, conversation, and views of Tokyo Bay.
Departing from the docks near Kachidoki in the early evening, nearly 100 Apex team members set off on a relaxed three-hour cruise around Tokyo Bay, taking in views of Odaiba and Harumi along the way. Although sudden thunderstorms had been forecast, we were fortunate to avoid the rain and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the bay.
We enjoyed cold beer alongside freshly prepared tempura, sashimi, and other Edo-style dishes, while connecting with one another across teams and roles.
Seeing so many Apex members come together and connect across teams and levels was a reminder of both Apex’s continued growth and the strength of our expanding team. It was also an opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made as a company, including achieving the Great Place To Work® Certification in Japan for the fourth consecutive year.

During the cruise, we were also able to watch a fireworks and drone show held ahead of the following day’s U.S. Independence Day celebrations. The boat turned out to be an unexpected front-row seat, making it a memorable summer evening for everyone who attended.
