<Job Descriptions>

・Manage the site’s daily import/export operational activities to resolve daily import, export, and customs issues.
・Build and maintain localized operational import and export procedures to ensure local business awareness and compliance with the requirements.
・Collaborate with the Company affiliates and suppliers to ensure their understanding of Trade Compliance regulations and documentation requirements at key market countries.
・Offer instructions to local businesses on matters concerning import and export requirements that include documentations, customs valuation, tariff classification, country of origin determination.
・Act as primary contact person with customs and any other government agencies (OGA) to address request for audit and inspections. Provide support for external reviews and investigations and audits to help minimize any adverse impact to the company.
・Manage the export trade compliance requirements to execute post export review of shipping documentation.
・Oversee the post entry audit of local sites transactions and ensure corrective action plans are appropriately developed and implemented at the local sites.
・Oversee financial and operational trade metrics and analysis, develop solutions and strategies to issues or opportunities and capturing trade data related to trade operations for reporting up to the trade compliance leadership.
・Monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes and alert the appropriate parties internally on the impact to the business.
・Support and Lead import/export/duty management/customs valuation projects that enhance driving efficiencies or cost savings for the company.
・Conduct training and knowledge sharing to improve business knowledge and operational
performance and ensure compliance with importing/exporting regulations.

<Requirements>

・Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable experience such as supply chain, logistics, tax, customs, international trade.
・Over 5 to 8 years of working experience in a global company, trade compliance, consulting firm or customs broker agency.
・Proficient in English and Japanese or other Asian languages preferred
・Regional or global exposure will be advantageous.
・Computer Skills
・Knowledge and experience with countries in Asia Pacific that include Japan, South Korea, or Singapore.
・Demonstrated ability in import/export policies and processes, compliance and
audit management, valuation, preferential trade programs, transfer pricing adjustments from a customs perspective will be an additional advantage.
・Strong communications, analytical, and organizational skills.
・Familiarity with ERP (e.g. SAP) and trade compliance systems (e.g. GTS)
