<Position Summary>
The Senior Manager, Market Access & Healthcare Policy in Japan is responsible for the strategic development and execution of pricing strategies to support the launch and reimbursement of products across the company’s drugs in Japan. Through key leadership and partnership across cross-functional teams, the person maps out pricing strategy into broader disease area and clinical development strategies which is applicable for Japan. The Senior Manager, Mkt Access & Pricing Japan, reports to the Heal of Mkt Access & Healthcare Policy in Japan. The Senior Manager will work in close collaboration with the other members in Mkt Access &Healthcare Policy and other departments in Japan as well as global teams.

<Principal Responsibilities>
・Create and deliver price assumption commercial and development decision
・Analyze the impact of potential development & regulatory scenarios, and provide strategic in-put
・Obtain / maintain favorable NHI price and reimbursement conditions
・Create NHI price negotiation strategy
・Create NHI pricing dossier and execute the negotiation strategy
・Mitigation of price cut throughout the lifecycle
・Drive cross-functional taskforce team to address critical reimbursement issues of a specific product

<Essential Qualifications>
・Work experience 8+ in NHI pricing and reimbursement
・Excellent project leader who can effectively manage multiple competing priorities to completion
・Global mindset and ability to work with cross functional teams
・Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external change
・Excellent teamwork skill
・Fluency in English/Japanese writing and speaking communications

<Preferred Qualifications>
・Knowledge of Health Technology Assessment (HTA)
・Understanding of the global market access landscape
・Experience and knowledge in rare disease conditions
・Maintains the relationship with external agencies and monitors their performance to ensure that performance and deliverables meet business expectations
・Cultivates and maintains relationships with key experts, influencers, and customer segment to foster and maintain the company’s credibility to support the value and reimbursement of the products

・Bachelor’s degree; advanced science/marketing degree is a plus
