Apex K.K. (Head Office: Shibuya, Tokyo; Managing Director: Brock Worbets; hereinafter Apex) is actively promoting cancer awareness this October, designated breast cancer awareness month. We are proud to be a sponsoring company and participant for both the Pink Ribbon Festival and Relay For Life Japan (RFL), organized by the Japan Cancer Society.
This sponsorship marks an important first step for Apex in addressing the question: "What can we do as a corporation to contribute to cancer awareness?" This year, we resolved to directly engage in awareness activities, driven by the belief: "We’ve supported healthcare companies fighting cancer. Now we’re supporting the people." Apex is committed to spreading accurate knowledge and highlighting the importance of early screening across society.
Supporting the Pink Ribbon Festival
The Pink Ribbon Festival is a campaign focused on promoting accurate understanding of breast cancer, the importance of screenings, and breast awareness (official site: https://pinkribbonfestival.jp).
Breast awareness refers to the habit of routinely monitoring one's own breast condition. Knowing your normal state makes it easier to notice subtle changes, leading to timely consultation with a specialist if needed.
As a sponsor, Apex promotes breast awareness on our SNS every Pink Day (the 19th of each month). Leading up to this awareness month, we organized internal quizzes to involve our employees and their families.

Cross-Activity with Relay For Life
Leveraging our sponsorship of both the Pink Ribbon Festival and RFL, Apex executed a cross-activity initiative. During the Relay For Life Japan Tokyo Ueno 2025 event on September 27, 2025, employees of Team Apex participated wearing the event's symbolic purple T-shirts and Pink Ribbon badges. At the venue, we distributed cancer awareness booklets and bath salts to attendees.

Apex's Breast Cancer Awareness Efforts
Pink Day (19th of every month): Promoting breast awareness on SNS
Internal quizzes: Initiatives to deepen knowledge of breast cancer among staff ahead of the awareness month
Wearing badges: Employees practice awareness by wearing Pink Ribbon badges in daily work
Online meeting backgrounds: Using custom awareness-themed backgrounds to integrate the message into daily internal and external communications
Event participation: Executives and staff plan to attend the Pink Ribbon opening night
Individual volunteering: Employees plan to volunteer independently at the Omotesando Festival

We've heard strong feedback from employees, including those who have had family members experience breast cancer, expressing a desire to help. Our initiatives start by raising awareness within our own team and close circles.
From a First Step to a Sustained Commitment
Apex views cancer awareness not as a one-off CSR event, but as an ongoing part of our corporate culture. We will continue to deliver awareness goods to our clients and candidates, broadening this circle of awareness throughout the wider society. Our recent involvement marks a new step for Apex in supporting people as an active member of society. As One Team, we will keep building on the intentions of every single employee to contribute to our community.
